Meet Maureen

Maureen Skea is the founder, owner, and creative director of Finishing Touches. She was born and raised at the Jersey Shore and currently lives in Spring Lake Heights, NJ.

After graduating from Hood College with a Bachelor of Science, Maureen spent the beginning of her career traveling throughout Asia and Europe as a clothing buyer for Macy's.

Once her children were born, Maureen wanted to continue utilizing her eye for design and flair for fashion. She started a window treatment business, which she ran out of her home. She spent countless hours in her workroom designing and creating window fashions for local clients. After twenty years, Maureen, Finishing Touches, and her clientele have grown together. Business is predominately generated through return customers and client referrals, which is quite a testament to Maureen's creativity and professionalism.

Eventually, Finishing Touches found its home at the 1313 3rd Ave. storefront in Spring Lake, NJ. Here, you can find unique interior accessories , gifts, or come in to chat with Maureen about design plans you have for your home.
